le miroir de musique

Sabine Lutzenberger

Sabine Lutzenberger, from Augsburg, Germany, is a pioneer of medieval song. She first acquired this reputation as a long-standing and influential member of the “Ensemble für frühe Musik Augsburg” (“Augsburg early music ensemble”). She also worked with “Mala Punica” in Italy and since 2001 she is member of the “Huelgas Ensemble” in Belgium. Important influences for her work were her studies at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis, and her collaboration with musicians like Pedro Memelsdorff and Paul van Nevel.

Her repertoire in ancient music contains medieval song, renaissance and baroque music. In contrast to that, over the past years, she is in demand for her work in the field of avantgarde music.

Her numerous CD recordings bear witness to her outstanding qualities as a singer.

Sabine Lutzenberger sings regularly at international festivals for ancient music as well as for contemporary music.
